How to Enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two factor authentication is an additional security layer that VeraWallet offers during account registration. In case your 2FA got lost or doesn't work, you can reset it at the Log In page.
On https://verawallet.io tap on Log In and enter your login and password as usual. Complete the puzzle. Now you will be asked to enter your 2FA code. Tap on the ‘Lost authenticator’ link.
Follow the instructions on the screen to reset your 2FA.
Reset 2FA using the secret setup key: During the registration you were prompted to save your personal secret setup key. If you saved the key, tap on ‘Continue’ and enter the key to reset 2FA.
Reset account without a secret setup key: If you don’t have your secret setup key or have lost it, tap on the second button’ and follow the instructions to reset your 2FA and get a new secret setup key. In this case you will be asked to complete KYC - a quick identity verification which is required to make sure that you are the owner of the account.
If KYC is passed successfully, you will see instructions on how to reset your 2FA.
What is 2FA?
Two-Step Verification provides stronger security by requiring a second step of verification when you sign in. In addition to your password, you’ll also need a code generated by your Authenticator app on your phone or device.
